Menard Animal Protection (MAP) and Menard County Animal Control are two separate entities.  MAP is a nonprofit organization focused on the welfare of animals in Menard County.  MAP offers various services to the community and provides support to the shelter.

Menard Animal Control is a county funded service that operates the Menard County Animal Shelter and addresses companion animal issues. Common services include: animals running at large, lost or stray animals, feral cat colonies, dog bites, adoptions and various other animal control issues.
